It is no secret that we are experiencing the highest national unemployment rate in over 20 years, 10.2 percent to be exact, and, as a result, employers are handing out furlough days like Christmas candy; salaries are being frozen, with no increases in sight; and, food banks are no longer just servicing the homeless—now, middle-class families need a helping hand, too.

And with the holidays fast approaching, so is the stress.

As a single mother, you already have enough stress to contend with. So, in this three-part article, we will show you how to enjoy a drama-free holiday season by acknowledging the true reason for the season.

So don’t sacrifice your family’s future by making unwise money decisions in an attempt to buy happiness—or reputation—this holiday season by settling for the same buying habits, the same routines and, for some, the same old drama during the holiday season

Instead, be radical and change up your holiday-season game plan with a new mindset and a better strategy.

In Part II, we’ll show you how.

Until then, keep it real and drama free.
